ANALYSIS OF MARKET FORCES BETWEEN U.S, RUSSIA AND CHINA 2 U.S poultry industry exports about 20 percent of broilers production to China, Russia, and Mexico. However, according to country’s veterinary service, Russia banned U.S poultry imports because of an order given by the President, Vladimir Putin[Rus14]. This was with the objective of guaranteeing security of the Russian Federation, as well as guard against price hikes. On the other hand, China banned imports of U.S poultry following the detection of avian flu in non- commercial flocks in the U.S[Gee15]. Currently, the U.S industry is experiencing a period high cost of inputs and a falling price of its products that led to loses. Macro environmental forces The macro environmental forces that are applicable to the case study, China and Russia Are Snubbing American Chicken, are political, legal, and economical factors. Political factors The political environment stability is a crucial determinant of the of an economy structure[Das11]. A country with a high political instability is likely to be more dependent on foreign countries for its consumables. For instance, basing on the case study, the strong government leadership of Russia has stopped U.S from exporting its poultry to Moscow. The
