Terry Wayne May Jr. HIS 300 3/31/15 Professor Leon Extra Credit Easter is a holiday that is celebrated by nearly all people of the Christian faith and is used to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The holiday often involves an early morning church service, a meal which includes an "Easter Ham", colorful dyed eggs and stories about the Easter bunny. The origins of Easter stem from ancient times. A man by the name of Noah had a son named Ham. Ham had a son of his own by the name of Cush, who later married a woman by the name of Semiramis. Cush and Semiramis then had a son named Nimrod. After the death of Nimrod’s father, Cush, Nimrod married his mother and became a powerful god-man King to his people, while his mother and wife became the powerful Queen of ancient Babylon. After Nimrod was slain, Semiramis told the people of Babylon that Nimrod had simply soared to the sun and was now to be called Baal, the new sun god. (Taylor) This began Semiramis creation of a mystery religion, and with the help of Satan, she set herself up as a goddess to her people.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
