1. Discuss tools and techniques to remove Malware from infected machines; using a popular product to make your point. Eric Geier, PC World, wrote an article listing 6 steps for removing malware from your windows PC, those steps are: Enter Safe Mode, Delete Temporary Files, Download Malware Scanners, Run a Scan With Malwarebytes, Fix your web browser, Recover your files if windows is corrupt. Entering safe mode is a great way to work on your computer to remove viruses/malware, without compromising your system more than it already has. “In this mode, only the minimum required programs and services are loaded. If any malware is set to load automatically when Windows starts, entering in this mode may prevent it from doing so.” (Geier). While you’re in safe mode, you can run virus scanners, get rid of your cookies, delete your temporary files, and run some system tools on your computer like disk cleanup. Geier recommends that if you already have an antivirus program that you use, to download a different one because it would be more likely than not, that your current scanner missed it.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
