Module 9 – Short-term Company Outlook Lisa M Iodice MBA-502 Company Selection: Pfizer/ In looking at the macro variables from the last paper (unemployment, personal disposable income and an aging population) and developing a short-term company outlook, I believe that an extension of the historical data previously presented would show increases in both sales and net income. Rather than simply taking the average of those two categories over the period of 2009-2013, we need to be mindful that over the last five years unemployment has been decreasing, personal income has been increasing and the population is aging (refer to Module 7 paper for data). More people have jobs (which does not necessarily mean they have prescription benefits; some employers also chose to cut worker hours to part-time, which made them ineligible for benefits), but overall they have more income to spend and the baby-boomers are an active (figuratively and literally) segment of society, a segment whose numbers are on the rise. There is also the Affordable Care Act to consider which, in theory, should mean large increases in revenues for the pharmaceutical industry as there is up to an additional 8 million people in the US now with some form of insurance (Amarnath, 2014).

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
