The factors that contributed to the increased heartrate happened to be the stressful situations. This included stressful situations at work and home also the thought of having to complete homework in a timely manner. When this occurs you have the hormones cortisol and adrenaline that are the factors in the heartrate increase. When the situations are removed your heartrate will begin to decrease. For me going to the gym or any type of exercise can reduce the stress that I would have at the time causing my heartrate to drop making me calmer than I was to begin with. There are also other factors that can decrease the levels of your heartrate some would include reading a book, talking about how you feel by venting to another individual, getting sleep can also be a form of relaxing and reducing your elevated heartrate. The risk of stress that is on the heart by an elevated heartrate would cause the heart to work harder than it would in a normal situation. This can be detrimental to the heart for if it
