Part I When it comes to what hormones are implicated in weight gains when stressed, this would be contributed by cortisol, adrenaline, and CRH. When our brain detected that there is a threat present it will trigger those chemicals listed above. Our body will prepare us to handle the threat by being alert, this is the adrenaline in actions and this also tends to make us feel less hungry. When this wears off or goes away then the cortisol which is known as a stress hormone, tends to notify that the body needs to be replenished of food and nutrients. Some of the forms of stressors that tend to cause this response of cortisol would be worrying about bills or trying to make deadlines. When we sit around and are not active we do not burn off as much energy which causes the weight gains. The fat releases chemicals triggering inflammation, which increases the likelihood that we will develop heart disease or diabetes. Our bodies tend to store glucose because it thinks that is needs it for the increased threat levels. When it comes to dietary choices
