Jonathon Myhre 10/12/14 International Organizational Structure Week 4 Analysis Out of the selections of different types of organizational structures I have picked International Division Structure and International Area Structure. At first glance both may seem to be the same but are in fact complete different. Both share the concept of moving their product from their home country to other countries. Although the biggest difference between the two is that the (IDS) will separate domestic and international business while the (IAS) doesn’t have a domestic and international unit but instead they section off their divisions by geographic regions, for example Asia division, Europe division, etc. (IDS) is a great concept to have if you were a smaller company. In your host country you will of course have different divisions for each part of the business, for example with Apple, they have Computers, Cell phones, iTunes, etc. Each division has it’s own manager to coordinate everything.
