Zhichuan Ban Physics 222 Lab RCL Lab Report 1. Question of the day: how does an RCL circuit respond to a single pulse of energy? How does it respond to periodic pulses? A: 2. Activity 1: response of an RLC circuit to a short pulse: qualitative observations a) Set up: insert the coil, which is connected to a function generator, into the variable inductor with magnetic core. Change the resistance, inductance, capacitance, frequency of the function generator and the amplitude of the output in the circuit, and see what happens. b) Observation: when the resistance decreases, the frequency of inducted emf would decrease. When the inductance decreases, the frequency would decrease as well. When the capacitance increases, the frequency would decrease. When change the frequency of the function generator, it would stay same. When decrease the amplitude of the output of the function generator, the frequency would decrease as well.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
