Hamilton wrote his first poem, which initiated his plan 7.) I would say the overall meaning wouldn’t change due to the fact that I interpreted the text and just put it in layman’s terms. The overall effect is lost though because it isn’t as powerful. 8.) The purpose of the song was to give the audience a feel for the theme of the rest of the play. Key historical figures were vouching for the fact that Hamilton was an important and intelligent figure speaks to purpose of the play. The writers definitely wanted to portray him in a positive way, and spread the word about Hamilton. 9.) The song mainly focuses on Hamilton’s beginnings rather than his political opinion. That being said, many founding fathers attest to Hamilton’s beliefs, even if they’re different from their own, therefore giving credibility to his thoughts.
