IPBT sessions CCCH9036 Environmental Pollution in China As announced before, the 4 th - 6 th tutorial sessions will be Interactive Problem Based Tutorial (IPBT). It is compulsory and attendance counted. Objective: Training students to use knowledge and principles learned from the course to work on a practical environmental-pollution-related (focus on air pollution) problem in China. Format: Students in each tutorial session will be divided into sub-groups of 3~4 students. One of the students in the sub-group will be the group coordinator. Each group will work on a specific pollutant (for example, PM2.5, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, photochemical smog, etc.) which will be assigned to each sub-group by the tutor. The contents could include (but not limited to): Air pollution condition survey of the assigned pollutant in mainland China, including the overall distribution and pollution situation, sources of the pollutants, impacts, amounts of pollutant emissions, strategy/policy/technology applied to control/reduce this pollutant, etc.
