Environment & Epigenetics Last week we reviewed how genes are translated into proteins. There were two main steps, transcription which transcribes DNA to RNA; and translation where RNA is translated into the new language of a protein. Today we’re going to focus on one particular aspect of controlling transcription or inhibiting it - epigenetics. Environment can affect gene expression through epigenetics
