A man walked into a Starbucks on the corner of 34 th and Perth, he looked around the busy shop for the features of a familiar face. “Hey babe, sorry I am late” He said spotting her by the counter waiting for her coffee, he leaned in to give her a quick kiss but she leaned back slightly. His eyebrows pulled together, causing wrinkles to form on his forehead, he opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by a barista shouting. “Venti dark roast coffee for an Annabelle Portman” “Thanks” Annabelle said reaching for the bright red cup with her name on it, then turned looking around the room. “Let’s sit, there’s something I want to talk about Jacks” Annabelle said heading in the direction of and empty table. Jacks didn’t move for a second, just watched her walk away with his eyebrows still pulled together, then slowly moved his feet towards the empty seat across from her. “Do you not want any milk and sugar for that?” He ask before sitting down. She was staring off to her left and brought her eyes around to meet his “Huh?...O, no its fine” she said
