By 1960 the Ahmadis increased and was found in 35 different cities. The nation of Islam started to attract the blacks. Different types of Muslims from around the world immigrated to the states and countered the Ahmadi believes. Ahmadis gave women power to participate in activities. The Ahmadis continued to grow since the religious persecution they faced in Pakistan. The earliest Canadian Muslim was a convert in 1854- James love (Scottish decent), In Edmonton. Lac la Biche. In the 1871 there was 13 Muslims in all of Canada. Later on Muslims started to come from Croatia and Bosnia. Salim Shaban, Came to New York and moved to Alberta. 1901. 47 Muslims in Canada. 1911. Around 1500 Muslims.

Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver have lots of Muslims. Currently there are 1 million Muslims in Canada. Al Rashid mosque built in Edmonton. Place of worship and social setting. Dances occurred in the Basement. ISNA (Islamic Society of North America), Halal –GTA Majority of Muslims are Sunni’s, than Shia and suffi’s The way the media ostracizes Muslims....
