OB Chapter 3 – Definitions 1. Dissatisfaction expressed by passively allowing conditions to worsen 2. A national culture attribute that describes the extent to which a society feels threatened by uncertain and ambiguous situations and tries to avoid them 3. The study of moral values of principles that guide our behaviour and inform us whether actions are right or wrong 4. A state in which an employee identifies with a particular organization and its goals, and wishes to maintain membership in the organization 5. A national culture attribute that emphasizes the future, thrift, and persistence 6. The obligation an individual feels to staying with the organization 7. A culture attribute that described the extent to which the culture favours traditional masculine work roles of achievement, power, and control. Societal values are characterized by assertiveness and materialism 8. An individual’s emotional attachment to, identification with, and involvement in the organization 9.
