Running head: CRITICAL THINKING 1 Critical Thinking Sapna Chamberlain College of Nursing Dr. Fillaman and class, Critical thinking is printmaking of analyzing and evaluating thinking in a way that improves the outcome. Critical thinking is an engine, which drives the development of knowledge, and professional judgment in any given profession. As stated by Castledine, G. (2010). “It is a process of carefully defining and analyzing problems, with the emphasis on questioning information rather than merely accepting it.” Nurses equipped with Master’s degree are prepared to practice in diverse settings, which may include administration, education, acute care, and informatics. A master’s prepared nurse must demonstrate critical thinking skills, emotional intelligence, and wisdom (CCN, 2015). According Porter-O’Grady and Malloch, emotional intelligence consists of self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
