RUNNINGHEAD: A Pill for Your Dreams Tanner Navarrette 2-25-16 For many people, laying their head on their pillow is the best part of the day. Sleep is absolutely necessary for our bodies to recover from the fatigue of the day. Every single day our minds spend every waking second processing information and sending responses to different parts of the body. This process can only be done for so long before the body sends signals that it needs a rest. Sleep can be broken into two major categories, REM and NREM sleep. We spend about 90% of our time asleep in the stage NREM. NREM sleep happens with slow moving brain waves. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
