FIRST HOUR Cleaning floor at door of entrance . Switching on of computer systems. Drug arrangement. Counter wiping. Floor cleaning at dispensing area. Cups cleaning . Responsibilty:dispesing staff on duty(D.O.D). N/B:walk-in clients shall still be given priority. :security consciousness should be taken into account .

HOUR 2 Drug packaging. Envelop restocking. Drug ordering. Drug receiving. Drug delivery RESPONSIBILITY: All the above functions to be performed by D.O.D. N/B:Ordering carried out by pharmacy in charge and D.O.D to assist where called upon. :receiving will be done by designated individuals at receiving area.

HOUR 2 DRUG PACKAGING DRUG RECEIVING Identify drug to be packaged. Acquire envelops. Write necessary instruction on envelop. Use tablet counter to count. Pack and seal drug envelops. Ensure receiving area clear of all other drugs first. drugs are unpacked and arranged at receiving area. Ensure deliverer is standing at correct point. Check for correct quantity. Check for condition of pack and expiry. Stamp and sign.

WORK TIME Drugs and dispensing Ensure drugs placed in right place based on class. Confirm drug expiry before expiry:-emphasis. Always work on a clean or clear counter. Be sure to return drugs ,labels , envelops to the correct places after dispensing. Avoid dropping items on floor plus pick dropped ones. Note drawers should be closed after use. Time Covers arrival , departure and punctuality. During departure note necessary clearance procedure. Breaks: tea or lunch –suggested time frames 45min-1 hour..
