Name the specific logical fallacy Fallacy 1: 1. Professor Roberts thinks that we learned language from rats. Because Professor Roberts teaches language, he must be right. 2. Changing the subject 3. Appeal to authority Fallacy 2: 1. Duffy Roberts’ English 112 classes are worthless because he is asshat. 2. Changing the Subject 3. Attacking the Person Fallacy 3: 1. Because we can’t prove that ghosts aren’t real, they must be real. 2. Missing the Point 3. Begging the Question Fallacy 4: 1. 75% of consumers purchase Mircrosoft computers rather than Apple; all thoe people can’t be wrong. Microsoft must make the best computers 2. Inductive Fallacy 3. Fallacy of exclusion Fallacy 5: 1. Susan failed English 112. Herman failed English 112. Edberg failed English 112. I therefore conclude that most students who take English 112 will fail it.
