Making a ball roll “realisticly” within Alice may look simple but it really is not. I thought it was going to be an easy and quick task but this actually took me a few tries. Firstly I had to make sure the ball was oriented to the ground. To do this I right clicked on the tab for the ball and clicked on the submenu that said orient to ground. Then I need to make the ball face the net. I need to do this because we don’t know what way a circular ball is facing. Now I am able to make the ball bounce over the net. I do this by making the ball move up. But I use the tennisnet’s properties and drag “tennisnet’s height” to the amount I want the ball to move up. This makes sure the ball goes just high enough to clear the net. Then I make the ball move forward enough to get passed the net and then make it move back down. But, I make sure to use the tennis net’s properties and use the “tennisnet’s height” again to make sure the ball goes down the same amount it went up.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
