Investigation Investigation If children and adults started developing similar illnesses in a new suburban community, I would ask question such as: What illness are individuals developing? What are the attributable factors of the illness? Is the illness contagious? Are there any other cases of this illness elsewhere? How can the illness be treated? In order to obtain answers to these questions, I would have to speak to medical doctors, research doctors, emergency responders, and government officials. These are the people that mostly likely have become aware of the situation or personally treated individuals with the illness. Research Conducting research is an important step to find a solution to this problem. Ruggiero (2012, p.104) mentions that by conducting research, “In some cases, this will mean merely searching your past experience and observation…in others, it will mean obtaining new
