FINANCIAL STATEMENT 2 Financial Statement The purpose of this paper is discuss the four basic financial statements. I will also explain what each of the four basic financial statements definitions are. I will also be discussing the internal and external users, such as manager’s, employee’s, investor’s, and creditors. There are four basic financial statements. The four different statements are; balance sheet, income statement, retainment earnings, plus the cash flow statement. The purpose of a balance sheet is it “reports assets and claims to assets at a specific point in time.” The income statement “reports success or failure of the company's operations for a period of time.” The retained earnings “shows amount of cause’s changes in retained earnings during the period.” The last basic monetary report is, the statement of cash flow. This statement “provides financial information about cash receipts and cash payments of a business for a specific period of time.”
