THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS 2 I am currently interviewing for 3 positions at my dance studio. I am looking for a front desk receptionist, an accountant to do the non-profit side of my competition dance team, and a classical ballet instructor. Some of the benefits in attracting a diverse pool of potential candidates is that I have a wide network of individuals that I know in the dance industry that are either interested in a position or know someone that may be looking for a position. The challenges include that because I am a smaller studio (only in my 3 rd year), we are still building the studio. Because of this we are limited to the amount of money we can spend on recruiting and advertising. I can utilize our Facebook page, website, and word-of-mouth, but in order to get an ad on a reputable job sight online, would cost more money than we have right now. The way to hire a diverse workforce would be to look at all applicant’s backgrounds, training, and experience in different genres of dance. The importance at a dance studio is to have teachers that have a well-rounded background in dance which can include not just the expected
