Movie theaters, airlines, and many other businesses like to charge customers different prices based on time of the day, age, and purchase dates. Why? Demand, supply, and price elasticity are the main factors that businesses and Services like to charge consumers different prices based on dates, purchase times (seasons), and age. The price of elasticity of demand is described as the percentage change in quantity demanded of a particular good or service divided by the percentage change in the price of that good or service, bearing all other things remain unchanged (Rittenberg &Tregarthen). Supply of a product or service being demanded may only be available at certain periods or in a seasonal time such as Christmas; this is one of the times that prices will skyrocket above the norm affecting prices and causing discrimination. Provide an example of a price discrimination for a good or service that you thought it too unfair. Do you still believe that the discrimination is unjustifiable?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
