2 / 10 Organizational Behavior Diversity, leadership, communication... How can these factors cause problems at work? Let's take a look at the situation: First of all I would like to introduce myself and to mention the jobs or internships that I had done in order to make an analysis focused on my work experience. During the course of my life I have carried out a number of changes in my academic life: I studied the biological baccalaureate and after that when I had to choose a career I decided to study a bachelor's degree of 5 years in nautical science and maritime transport whose function is to create captains and officers to work in merchant ships. My dream at that time was traveling and discovering the world. Once I finished my degree I made two Internships of 2 weeks each, one in the "Millenium 3" vessel whose path was Algeciras - Tangier Med and another internships of 3 weeks in the vessel "Juan J. Sister" with path Malaga - Melilla. Later I shall undertake a focused analysis at the most significant problem that I faced there (Leadership). At the time I finished these embarks I realized that my life was not that. I didn't want to spend the rest of my life in a ship, so I did the bags and i went to London to study English while I was looking for a job to pay my spenses. At this point and after a month of searching I started to work in Starbucks, in which I experienced a problem in diversity which i'll discuss in detail in the next section. After my stance in London I went back to Spain to study a Master in International trade management and, once I finished it. I realized that it was not enough, that I needed something more.

3 / 10 Without thinking about it and taken into account the opportunity that China was going to bring me I made again my bags and ... here I am, studying in Shanghai University a GLMBA. I know that I do not have the work experience that the majority of my classmates have. As a matter of fact I considered it null since the time that I was working either the Internships or in Starbucks was very short. Forgive me for that. Leadership: To begin with, I would like to mention in this paragraph to what I think it is not a good leadership and for it I will connect it with the intership that I made on board of the ship Juan J. sister (Malaga - Melilla) As John R. Childress said: "High performance leadership teams understand that their collective and individual behaviour casts a positive or negative shadow across the entire organization. And since employees tend to take their cues on what is important and how to behave from their leaders, negative behaviour at the top creates negative behaviours far down into the organization, adversely impacting performance and productivity" ( :

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
