Feminism is the advocacy of women’s rights on the grounds of economic, social, and political equality to men. In his book “feminism is for everybody” Bell Hooks has outlined some quotes that analyze the importance of feminism to all women in the world. The book entirely describes a study of black and post-colonial writing in Britain and the extent that Britain’s colonial heritage has shaped present-day formulations of British culture. One of the famous quotes that Bell Hook made in his book “Feminism is for everybody” read; If any female feels she need anything beyond herself to legitimate and validate her existence, she is already giving away her power to be self-defining, her agency.” In this quote, Hook only wanted to pass a message to all women that they should not need anything more than they should before they can validate their selves. It is a good thing that women value themselves and rate themselves highly; they should see men as their equals and therefore fight to be independent on their own.
