3 Assessment Details n Lecture Attendance (5%) & Tutorial Attendance (5%) n Tutorial Participation (10%) n Group Presentation (10%) n Group Project Report (20%) Proposal (5%) is due in the 7 th week in your tutorial. The final report is due in the 12 th week in your tutorial. n In-class Mid-term Exam (20%) – 9 th week n Final Exam (30%) – 13 th week n In order to pass this course, students must Attempt ALL assessment tasks Attain an overall pass mark of 50% Attend at least 80% of scheduled classes Group Project 1 n Proposals are due by the end of Week 7 n You can choose whatever topic you would like to pursue as long as it is appropriate for this class. n However, your projects need to be comparative. That means you compare at least two different things (companies, industries or countries) on some important issues. n You need to choose cases that are not covered in the readings of this class. n But there are examples that can help you think about what this project could look like: Sony vs. Samsung Different approaches between foreign and Chinese beer companies. Internalization strategies of LG, Haier, CP Group, IKEA, Nissan, etc .
