BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE REPORT 2 Executive Summary The purpose of this report is to see how different business intelligence software can assist the CIO of OutThere in making business decisions on how to arrange company resources to create solutions pertaining to the QuickStop franchise. It was determined that the following business intelligence tools are most applicable to making better business decisions applicable to the priorities: OLAP, data mining, data visualisation and video analytics. Each of these different tools assist with the market basket analysis which is perhaps a process most pivotal to the first, second and fourth priority listed by the CIO. Furthermore, ethics, privacy and security issues of each of business intelligence tools have been recognised in order to ensure that there has been a sound analysis. Finally, the report focuses on selecting the preferred vendors of the business intelligence software, and three significant vendors were chosen: SAP, Oracle and IBM. Through conducting a cost-benefit analysis and score featured analysis and seeing how each of the vendors would benefit OutThere the most by assisting decisions based on the priorities, it was concluded that SAP would be the most beneficial and cost-efficient software for OutThere, in conjunction with IBM for video analytics.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
