Hello professor and Classmates, - Is it a reasonable countermeasure to put a volume limit on amount of data exported under a peer-to-peer system? Why do you feel this way? - Find web sites for three dissimilar institutions, for example a bank, a merchant, and a school, all of which have privacy statements. Compare these three policies to determine which site offers the greatest privacy to the user. Peer-to-Peer systems can have a lot of benefits and create a network of server/client systems to share files between one another. However, the P2P world have been flooded with an abundance of pirated software, movies, and music. Pfleeger & Pfleeger (2012, pg. 679) reported that at one time “P2P was responsible for 40 percent of the traffic on the Internet.” Many Internet Service Providers already throttle traffic tagged as P2P. Ernesto (2014) reported that during Dec 2012-Dec 2013 the United States was throttling roughly 14% of all internet traffic involving torrent (peer-to-peer) traffic.
