WEEK 3: DISCUSSION 1 Sexual harassment is any form of unwanted sexually obscene propositions, both verbal and physical, which is a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 when it occurs in the workplace; “ a federal law that prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin, and religion, and it applies to employers with 15 or more employees, including federal, state, and local governments.” ( ; Know your Rights: Workplace Sexual Harassment.) Such offensive and indecent propositions leads to discrimination and an extremely unfavorable work environment; unfortunately affecting more of our co-workers than we know. EEOC guidelines define sexual harassment as, “unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.” Sexual harassment in the workplace has become a very common interference with an individuals work performance. It creates an uncomfortable, intimidating environment which clouds the
