Module 7 Journal For each term, provide the definition from your e-text or lessons in the course and then how you will remember it. You can use examples, or put the definition in your own words. For each person, tell what they are most known for and then how you will remember them. You should also include their school of thought or the perspective they are known most for. For example, Sigmund Freud would be from the Psychoanalysis school of thought. Term Definition or Description How will you remember? Motivation the process by which activities are started, directed, and continued so that physical or psychological needs or wants are met get up and go 2. Extrinsic motivation motivated to perform a behavior or engage in an activity to earn a reward or avoid punishment Get good grades to not get in trouble 3. Intrinsic motivation engaging in behavior because it is personally rewarding; essentially, performing an activity for its own sake rather than the desire for some external reward. Want to do something cuz u enjoy it. 4. Instincts Natural built in insticnts You are born with these 5. Intinct approach This claim means that all humans have the same motivations due to our similar biological programming.
