2 Body Cameras and Police As we take a look at the years that have passed it has been harder for the police departments across America to not only protect citizens but also themselves, with all of the advancements in cell phone camera technology, police departments have been caught in compromising positions abusing citizens, in all actuality it is hard for me to believe that law enforcement agencies across America have gotten away with the blatant abuse of citizens, through citizens using their cell phone cameras catching police through citizens using their cell phone cameras catching police abusing this citizens and posting them to news media outlets as well as social media outlets, these moved governments in different states to try and implement a body camera program with the their departments, this also caught the eye of government officials States senators, according to a Washington Post (2015, May 29). By police officers wearing body cameras this would give us a better-detailed account of the actions that he or she has taken while performing their duties, many of these law enforcement agencies are trying to figure out which type of cameras to use and how to mount them on to the police officers to give the best of view. As it becomes extremely apparent the difficulties of policing have become more apparent, FBI (2014). according to the FBI in 2014 there were 48,000 police officers that were assaulted across the country and 96 for killed in the line of duty, there is an endless list of police involved actions that could have been best explained if the officers were wearing body cameras, other police actions across the country like Cleveland Police Department in 2014, during a investigations of widespread departmental excessive use of force, according to Cliff Hite a senator from Ohio, he was a member of the state task force community policing relations division, had no idea that's the Cleveland Police Department was in such turmoil. The senator welcomes the idea of having body cameras fitted to law enforcement officers, police officers as well as citizens police
