Lorenzo Giovane ENT 250 Husain 27 September 2015 Calumet Brewery John Kiernan has taken in a family business that has been around since 1933. I believe is very knowledgeable when it comes to running a business and he also full of wisdom. I feel he had a lot to offer even though we did not participate as well as we could have. I did learn some knowledge from John though. John explained to us that we need to make a self-assessment of ourselves. He said to list our strengths and our weaknesses. A self-assessment is a key factor with knowing who you are and what you are capable of accomplishing. He also explained how this affects now and as well in the future. John also explained that knowledge is the eye of desire. This quote is very strong and I believe is a quote from Will Durant. I believe this quote can have several meanings. Desire means to long for or want. In order for us to want this we need to have the wanting of knowledge. The eyes are most important because this is how we perceive everything. We need to be knowledgeable in order to get what we want. This quote I believe will stay with me and I will think of this when I am ready to start my own business....
