Student Name Taylor Platon Our Iceberg is Melting 1. Who are the 5 main characters in this story? Fred, Alice, Buddy, Louis and NoNo. 2. How was Fred different from the other penguins in the colony? He was unusually curious and observant. He fished less and studied the iceberg and the sea more. 3. What part did NoNo play in the story? How can someone with this type of personality be beneficial to a group at times? He was the "weather forecaster," and did not want to believe that change was occurring within the iceberg. Someone with this type of personality can make people be more specific about the issue and go into further explanation. 4. The group formed a committee to analyze the situation and look into possible solutions to the overall problem before presenting the problem to the whole colony. How did they test their theory, and what were the results? They tested their theory by filling a glass bottle with water and putting a cap on it. If the bottle had broken by morning, then they had something to worry about; if it was still intact, they should not worry about the situation. They woke the next morning to see the bottle had broken from an overload of ice inside of it.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
