A new study from WorkJam, a technology platform released survey results that showed that paper applications are an outdated and inefficient practice for employees. Survey responses included 500 managers and 700 employees from service companies across the country. Over 60% of respondents were found to still use paper applications for their respected organizations. With more than a week to process these applications, companies are missing out on talent due to this timeframe. This is a sign that these organizations lag behind in the latest technology trends, which will cause them to fall behind their competition in the future. Only 10% of these organizations use mobile technology, which helps companies recruit millennials. One problem is that organizations think there are cost implications with using technology, but in most situations that is not the case. Paper applications fail to gather information about the applicant that helps
