Dan Barrecchia 3/28/2016 Planning Strategically:  What is is, Where it Came From, And What Its Going Strategic Managing is an essential part of a company’s existence in the rapidly changing  technological world that we live in. It became commonplace in the 1960’s and beginning of the 70’s  when corporations were growing at a rate unseen before. Strategy was thriving. However, as the 80’s  came into play and global competitors became a threat, American corporations found themselves  struggling to keep up, abandoning strategic/creative planning, and looking for ways to downsize and  restructure. After about a decade of a purely “efficiency” based approach in an attempt to catch up to growing global competition, companies found that it gained them little advantage in their growing market places.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
