Which words, phrases, and sentences did the author select to make me think or feel this way about the reading selection? Why are those words, phrases, and sentences effective in making me think or feel the way I do about the reading selection I believe the book was much more suspenseful. “"Keep back! Keep back!"A boy came running towards me."It's a-movin'," he said to me as he passed; "a-screwin' and a-screwin' out. I don't like it. I'm a-goin' 'ome, I am."” It gave me suspense, what was the boy running from? What is screwing? Why is it so scary? The suspension of what might possibly be there made me have a feeling in my stomach of fear. “The end of the cylinder was being screwed out from within. Nearly two feet of shining screw projected.” What is in the cylinder that is unscrewing? By now I was already fearing of an alien, and when he brought that description into the book it made me fear.
