In king’s letter, he uses a series of writing techniques to further the understanding of his writing. He describes in the quote, that even though the actions are peaceful, they still get treated the same. The way that king completed his letter with the use of analogies and metaphors have affected the way people interpreted it. This is why he helped majorly with black rights. King uses analogies and metaphors in his letter as it appeals to the audience from an emotional and intellectual level, it helps him convince people to join his movement; this is important to get as much support as possible for the right cause. The main strategy that king uses is metaphors, as it is used a numerous amount of times in his letter. It appeals his audience from an emotional and intellectual way.
