 Communication skills are essential no matter where or who you are. One should  be able to communicate effectively and respectfully to get their point across to the  audience. When communication fails and breaks down the end results includes  inefficiency, lost of morale, confusion, and wrong interpretation. No matter the  surrounding, situation, or environment. One should always follow suit of these criteria’s  when engaging in communication.  1. Listening 2. Empathy 3. Patience 4. Clarity 5. Positive Attitude 6. Honesty & Openness 7. Self-Improvement This communication policy is for a fictional learning institution. All reference to  actual places, institutions, governments and agencies is only by coincidences. This policy is in no way substitutive of any real document that exist. The purpose of this document is  only for learning, research, and completion of this assignment. EFFECTIVE DATE: This policy goes into effect immediately after editing, reviewing and publishing.  Every individual who is a part of the learning process at Tafuna High School as assigned  under the Title IV of the American Samoa Department of Education regulation is  required and mandated to follow, implement, and practice this policy. POLICY OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this policy is to better facilitate communication within the  Classroom. In facilitating better communications, we are paving the way for better and

successful learning environment daily. This policy is to guide interaction between  students and their classmates, also between students and the teacher.  It is mandatory that  each student in the classroom show’s maximum respect to every other person in the  school and other contacts in a learning context (Kelly Dunn, 2000). Effective  communication helps others; it helps learning development runs smoothly and  successfully.
