Explain the communication challenges unique to groups and teams, especially in cross- cultural situations. When I was in college pursuing my undergraduates program I worked part-time in the fast food industry. Most of my coworkers were of Chamorro ancestry, Asian (Chinese & Philippine) and Tongan. I was the only Samoan and my manager was the only  Caucasian person in our whole branch of the store. Teamwork is a must in our line of  work as the success of the company (store-branch) as a whole is dependent on it.  A major challenge that I was faced with in this particular setting is language  barrier. “ For those of us who are native English-speakers, it is fortunate that English  seems to be the language that people use if they want to reach the widest possible  audience. However, even for native English speakers, cross-cultural communication can  be an issue: Just witness the mutual incomprehension that can sometimes arise between  people from different English-speaking countries” (mindtools.com). Most

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
