Built In Functions Built in functions are very valuable and convenient as they cut down the hassle and time, of writing the complete program repeatedly. The built-in functions work like mini programs that perform common tasks so you'll be able to concentrate your efforts elsewhere. Like all functions, the built-in functions outputs values and, optionally, accept arguments that you pass to the functions once you call the functions. This report will state and explain several Visual Basic’s built in functions. VB supports many mathematical and/or numeric functions that can create calculations and alternative procedures very simple, as one simply have to insert the variables, and obtain the output when the function processes it. One function is: The Sqr() function. This function accepts one argument and returns the root of that argument. Another function that assists programmers calculate expressions is the Atn() function. This outputs the argument's arc tangent, expressed in radians.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
