Hilda Bridges was involved in an incident where she was forced by her estranged husband to disrobe, thus leading to her photo being taken candidly without consent and published by Florida newspaper Cocoa Today. Hilda can make try and make a case for publication of private facts , due to her privacy being mistreated and exploited by the press. Regardless if the photo was taken outside in the public, Bridges can try to further strengthen her case by suing for intrusion in addition to the fact that her photos were taken without her knowledge, not aligning with her reasonable expectation of privacy. Furthermore, she can claim technological invasion of privacy occurring when her photographs was taken paparazzi-like. Since technically, she was in the privacy of her own apartment before

Ultimately, I feel as if Bridges case would fall on it’s face under the publication of private facts since these photographs were taken outside in a public place when she was being transported to safety, as well as that this publication is regarded as newsworthy for the community. This is not uncommon to hear reporters published stories similarly related to Hilda’s. Lastly, Cocoa Today could argue that there’s no reasonable expectation of privacy if you’re in public, therefore Cocoa Today should not get in trouble for the conduct of committing intrusion....
