ABSTRACTThe purpose of this article is to look at the issue of equal employment opportunity in the HRrecruitment and selection process. Because both HR managers and applicants are involved in theseprocesses, this research is conducted separately between them. As a result, it will be decidedwhether both parties agree on the existence of this notion in the processes mentioned. Equalemployment opportunities are critical for any business and are a major factor in identifying genuinepersonnel. As a result, the study examines if prejudices exist in the recruiting and selection process, such as discrimination based on national and social origin, gender and sexual orientation, age, political affiliation, and so on. The legislation in India and its impact on the process of establishingequal opportunities will be studied as an essential aspect of this notion.INTRODUCTIONEqual rights for all citizens, regardless of gender, race, color, national and social origin, political andreligious beliefs, property and social standing, is a fundamental concept protected by each country'sconstitution. It is critical to understand what needs to be eliminated and how this might beaccomplished in order to eradicate prejudice and establish workplace equality.Employees in the company have the right to be treated fairly in all aspects of their work. Somelarger corporations start a new trend in which they promote equal employment chances byrecognizing the value of preserving an Equal Opportunity culture as a competitive advantage. It is ajob offered by a corporation that treats all employees equally and fairly in the hiring process, regardless of race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or political affiliation. It is a need that allpersons be treated equally, without artificial obstacles, prejudices, or preferences, unless certain'differences' can be explicitly justified.Fig: Flow structure for Equity in workplace2
It is undeniable that equal employment opportunity legislation exists, but the question is whether itis consistently followed in real life. The argument is whether there are truly equal possibilities foremployment, given that the sex or age of the candidate is often included in job adverts. When itcomes to equal employment chances in the process of recruiting and selecting personnel, even thelegal provision of employing a set number of minorities in India is up for debate.
