INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FACTORS 2 Internal and External Factors I have been involved with many organizations during my twenty eight years, but none of those organizations had the effect in my life as that of the United States Army. I was imbedded with this enormous team for more than six years of my life, so when deciding which organization I wished to choose for this assignment the decision was simple. I will account for how I witnessed the four functions of management, and how they directly affected the way my unit conducted business. The military is a breeding ground for new and improved ways to accomplish different task and the four functions of management are a very important way the military keeps moving. Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling were daily task that were essential to accomplishing the mission for that day. In any organization there has to great management for the business to be successful, so the four functions of management must be implemented. Every morning for the six years I was in the Army we had a meeting with the 1SG to discuss the task that were to take place for the day. The tasking’s were normally given in order of precedence and the times they needed to be completed. This was the time that we came together
