Noel Averruz NT1310 04-30-15 Unit 7 Lab 1: Building a New Structure – Safety Plan In my safety plan the first things that I’m going to cover are the PPE for working on a construction site where a new building is being placed. First you’re going to need a hard hat to protect your head from falling objects. Second steel toed shoes or boots, preferably boot for a little extra ankle support and to protect your feet and toes. Third will be safety goggles, tinted preferably to protect your eyes. You will need Long pants to protect your legs. I would also include reflective vest for higher visibility. Next on the list will be gloves to protect your hands. A water cooler is a must in this situation because it’s going to be hot out and you need to keep hydrated. There will also be no running on the job site. Working in a hurry can cause more accidents and mistakes and will not increase productivity. Only work on the job that you know

A back brace would be a good idea to wear also. Once you have a back injury it will be a problem for the rest of your life in most cases. In case of an emergency call 911 immediately, have someone notify the foreman and try to assist if you have any sort of training in first aid. If there is a fire you need to move to the designated area away from all the equipment and other buildings. If this was a regulated paper, I would include all of the state and government laws and regulations that apply to this job description. You can purchase them from OSHA and get copies of the other laws and guide lines from the city office related to public safety....
