Make sure projects are finished on time. It's surprisingly easy for
projects to lag, go over budget and get diluted from their original
goal. It’s essential to keep the project within realistic timelines so
people don't lose focus and passion for the project. If the team
views the project as unwieldy, they can become overwhelmed and
disheartened. If the team understands the schedules, deadlines and
tasks before the project launches, they will be more likely to stay
focused and accountable. It will also be easier to identify red flags
before it's too late to change course. Be proactive enough to sense
when things are getting off track and implement contingency plans.
