Introduction
Beverage is defined as any liquid that is swallowed to quenched thirst for nourishment or
enjoyment. Beverage can be alcoholic or not, sparkling or still, hot or cold. Water is a beverage. It is
also a main ingredient in other beverages. It can be also consumed in the form of food and or directly
by drinking. Our body is approximately 65 to 70 % water; therefore water must be taken daily to
maintain that supply. Many would agree that people can survive for several days without food but
not without water.
Objectives:
At the end of this lesson, you can:
1. Identify the different types of non- alcoholic beverages
2. Relate the consumption of beverage by Filipinos
3. Name the alcoholic beverages of Filipinos.
