Introduction
The corona virus pandemic is one of the major challenges the world is dealing
with at the moment. It started in China inflate 2019 and has finally spread to almost every
country in the world (Karman et al, 2020). the disease is very contagious and spread fast
through droplets when one sneezes or coughs. Globally three are over 136 million cases
and 2.93 million deaths aout of all the cases there has been a atotal of 71 milion
recoveries. in the united states of America, 31.2 mllion cases have been recorded so far.
the us has seen one of the highest fatality rates recording over 500 thousand deaths.
with realization of the severity of this pandemic govorbnemets have tries to come
up with intereventions that would reduce and manage the spread of covid 19. these
measures include Ban on public gatherings, travel restrictions, limited interactions, ban
on sporting activities, wearing of facemarks and mandatory tests (Ferneini, 2020). some
countries went for lockdown during the peak of this pandemics. this is a problem like
never before and its adverse effects has turned into a global emergency.
Implementation of the strict containment and mitigation measures has had far
reaching effcts on mobility.this meant that people could not carry out their duties like
they used to. This has had negative effect on the economy of different countries (Sansa,
2020). The GDP has dropped substantially as companies don’t operate at their normal
capacity. low production translates to low income fo employees and even possible job
losses.The effects have been so bad that some companies have had to close down due like
in the hotel and tourism sector. the pandemic has taken its toll on the low income families
as they grappling to make ends meet as some have to depend on donnations to survive.

Statement of the Problem
The Covid 19 pandemic has affected economies in ways never imagined. The
strict governed policies in containment and management of the pandemic has affected the
social and economic aspect of human lives (Ruiz et al., 2020). Limited interaction means
reduced production hours. Compared to great economic depression of 2008, the
pandemic has created unemployment rates like never before. In mid-2020 the United
States of America recorded unemployment rate of 14.8%. This cur across in all states.
