By Day 3PostThe homeless population is a group that I’m interest in advocating for to get more funding tohelp families and individuals that have been affected by a natural disaster or just fallen on hardtimes. A quote that reignites in so many areas of life is from Heller Kelleran inspirationalleadership, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. A potential obstacle to theally-ship would be getting funding for the homeless shelter. Additionally, lack of supplies, food, and clothing or even staff to manage the facility. I could host fund raisers to get funding and evenwrite grant proposals. To address the lack of staff I could seek volunteers to assist in managingthe shelter. The National Center on Family Homelessness (2012) estimates 1.6 million children,or 1 in 45 children, are homeless: “In any given day, researchers estimate that more than 200,000children have no place to live”.Davies, A., & Wood, L. J. (2018). Homeless health care: meeting the challenges of providingprimary care.
