Compare and contrast skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscle in terms of: 1) fiber or cell shape, size, arrangement, and interaction, 2) sarcoplasmic reticulum and T-tubules, and 3) cytoskeletal and contractile protein arrangement. 2. Trace the path of a CO 2 molecule from a capillary bed in the systemic circulation to the lungs and then trace the path of an O 2 molecule from the lungs to the aorta. Be sure to include all valves encountered.
