Dred Scott Dred Scott was conceived in at some point when the new century rolled over, frequently settledat 1795, in Southampton County, Virginia. Legend has it that his name was Sam, however whenhis senior sibling passed on, he received his name. His guardians were slaves, however it isindeterminate whether the Blow family possessed them at his introduction to the world or fromthere on. Dwindle Blow and his family moved first to Huntsville, Alabama, and after that to St.Louis Missouri. After Peter Blow's demise, in the mid-1830s, Scott was sold to a U.S. Armedforce specialist, John Emerson. In 1836, Scott began to look all starry eyed at a slave of anotherarmed force specialist, 19-year-old Harriett Robinson, and her proprietorship was exchangedover to Dr. Emerson when they were marry.
